IMPORTANT UPDATE: JANUARY 2024
Schedule Change Announcement for Parents of First-Year Confirmation Students and Prospective Students
Attention parents of current first-year confirmation students and prospective students for next year. We are excited to announce that our confirmation classes for 2024/2025 will be undergoing a schedule change. To accommodate our growing class size and maintain the same quality of education, our first-year confirmation classes will now take place on Mondays, and our second-year classes will be held on Wednesdays. We understand that this may be an adjustment, which is why we are providing advanced notice to allow ample time for planning. Class registration will open in March. Thank you for your continued support as we expand our program!
Sincerely,
Joshua Rochon
Director of Youth Ministry
Welcome to our Confirmation program for 7th & 8th Graders: SMACT! SMACT stands for St. Michael the Archangel Confirmation Teens and is also a play on words. When Confirmed, the Bishop used to smack the person across the cheek to symbolize the sealing of the Holy Spirit!
YMRCIA is our 7th - 12th grade program that stands for Youth Ministry Rite of Christian Initiations of Adults. This an adapted program for teens who did not receive their sacraments of initiation within the normal sequence.
SMACT and YMRCIA are a radical new way of evangelizing to our youth. In these Confirmation prep programs, we offer fun, food, and friends, and promote a sacramental preparation rooted in Faith and celebrated with the church community.
