*Please note that any Catholic Bible will do. If the student or family member already has a Bible, they can bring that to class and skip purchasing a new one.*

• Confirmation Prep classes are offered on Mondays (1st Year) and Wednesdays (2nd Year) from 6:30-8 pm in Curran Hall. Attendance is mandatory.

Confirmation for 7th - 12th Graders:

Our core Confirmation class is broken down into two years of classroom catechesis, volunteer opportunities, and retreats. We strive to prepare our students to not only receive the sacrament of Confirmation, but also have a lasting desire to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ.

For our classroom catechesis, we use the Chosen curriculum created by Ascension Press, not to be confused with the popular Chosen TV series. This curriculum is a good combination of lectures, videos, and group discussions. Our curriculum also provides a workbook and online video access to help teens that may miss the occasional class due to illness, school events, or family functions. It is important to highlight that this is to help with the occasional missed class; it is not an optional "from home" lesson plan. Though Chosen is our primary curriculum, we also have many lessons based on information pulled from the Youth Catechism and Youth Bible for our in-class sessions.

Confirmation Plus:
Because it is never too late to receive a sacrament, we offer our Confirmation Plus program for students that may also need Baptism and/or First Holy Communion. The catechesis for these additional sacraments is already built into the Confirmation class that they will attend every week. Our hope is that this program will allow us to better serve our parents and students.

Students wishing to be baptized will be required to attend special Masses in preparation for the sacrament. Parents and Sponsors will also be required to attend a brief Baptismal prep class.
