The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)is the process whereby adults (18+) prepare to be fully initiated into the Catholic Faith by being prepared for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. During a series of sessions, adults are led through a Faith Journey to the Sacraments. Candidates for this are:
Unbaptized adults who wish to learn more about the Catholic Faith and to possibly become Catholic.
Baptized Christians from other denominations who would like to learn more about the Catholic Church and possibly be received into the Church.
Baptized Catholics who would like to prepare for Eucharist and/or Confirmation by increasing their understanding of their Catholic Faith.
Fully initiated Catholics who are interested in a “refresher course” in the Faith.
Classes begin in September and continue through Easter Vigil Mass. First day of class for the 2024-2024 calendar.
Sunday, September 8th. Arrive at 8:45 AM in room 220
Tuesday, September 10. Please arrive at 6:45 PM in room 220.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic or completing the Sacraments of Initiation, we would like to invite you to meet with the St. Michael OCIA team and ask any questions you may have.
