We would like to encourage those who are not able to attend Mass because they are sick or homebound. We know that being unable to attend Mass can be a difficult experience, and we want to assure you that you are not alone. Our Homebound Ministry is here to provide you with spiritual companionship, pastoral care, and Communion. We have a team of volunteers who are eager to visit you in your home and bring you the Eucharist. If you would like to be visited by a member of our Homebound Ministry, please email us at Homebound@stmichaelgarland.org. We would be happy to make arrangements for a visit. We are praying for you and your loved ones. May God bless you with His peace and healing.
The Homebound Ministry is a service that the church offers those that are ill and cannot leave their home to come to Mass. The Ministers are trained by the parish staff and also by a Homebound Minister. They take communion to the elderly people once a week. They are cleared by the St. Michael Safe Environment program before starting their ministry and must be trained as Eucharist Ministers.
